Scholarship Length
The following describes the duration of the Master's Degree Scholarship or Short Course Scholarship in Canada:

a minimum of one academic year (8 months)
Two academic years at most (a total of 24 months), with a start date of either August 2020 or February 2021.
Financial Protection
The 2020 Canada Government Scholarships For International Students are full-funding master's scholarships.

Foreign scholarships will cover the following expenses:

Up to $60,000 CAD for academic year-long packages will be awarded to the Winner (e.g. two educational phrases of up to 4 months each)
packages lasting up to 20 months (for example, four academic terms of up to four months each and one spring/summer term of up to four months) can cost up to 120,000 CAD.
The Canadian host organization may also declare CAD 500 per award recipient to help with administrative costs after the award recipient has arrived in Canada, in addition to the money allocated to award recipients by DFATD.

Scholarship Qualification

To qualify, a person must be a citizen of one of the following countries: Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Comoros, Djibouti, Fiji, Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Liberia, Mauritania, Micronesia, Palau, Tonga, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, or Vanuatu. Palestinians from the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem are also eligible.

Must no longer hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency, and they must also no longer be the subject of an active application for such status.
Must apply for admission to a Canadian institution as a full-time student and be accepted; must have the linguistic abilities necessary to conduct research in the language of instruction at the Canadian post-secondary institution; and must indicate their interest in being considered for the Study in Canada Scholarships application (English or French).
