Students’ Variables and Teaching/Learning of Integrated Science among Junior Secondary School Students

ABSTRACT: The Study investigated student’s variables and teaching/learning of integrated science among secondary school students in Itu Local Government Area. In order to achieve this purpose, two research questions were raised to guide the study. The population of the study comprised of two thousand and fifteen (2015) students and ten (10) integrated science teachers in ten (10) public secondary schools in the study area. The sample size was two hundred (200) secondary school students. The instrument used for data collection was a Questionnaire; the data collected were analyzed using simple percentage. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that; students’ gender and age influence the teaching/learning of integrated science in secondary schools in Itu Local Government Area. Based on the findings, it was recommended that; parents should not delay the enrolment of their wards in schools as that will make them feel insulted by the younger ones.
